Recent Successes

A 31-year-old woman first came to see me in February. She had previously suffered through two miscarriages, once in 2009 and again in 2010. She had decided to seek out further treatment with a reproductive endocrinologist, who recommended a cycle of Follistem injections to help stimulate her ovaries, followed by timed intercourse. During this treatment cycle, she came to see me once a week for acupuncture treatments to help with the extreme stress and anxiety she was experiencing, to help stimulate her ovaries in conjunction with the Follistem, and to help encourage implantation of a good healthy embryo. She was quite nervous through the cycle, but fortunately, everything went very smoothly. She was cautiously optimistic upon receiving a positive pregnancy test.

Because of her previous miscarriages, she was eager to continue with acupuncture treatments in order to do everything possible to encourage a good healthy pregnancy. She came in every two weeks, as I recommended, through the first trimester. She is now 25 weeks pregnant and continues to come in for treatment every month even though she lives in Bloomington. Ultrasound has confirmed that she is having a boy who is due in December. I am ecstatic for her and her husband, that they will soon experience the joy of parenthood. I wish them all the very best!

What Our Patients
Are Saying

"Going through IVF was an emotional roller coaster for me. Acupuncture treatments helped me feel grounded and also to feel as if I was doing something for myself that would improve my chances for success. I now have two wonderful, beautiful babies, 18 months apart, that were both conceived through IVF. David and his team were wonderful to treat me and guide me through several IVF cycles to ultimately help me realize my family dream."

Is It Unexplained Infertility or is it Celiac Disease?

You've gone through a full infertility work up, done all the tests and still no conclusive reason for your inability to conceive can be found.

Unexplained Infertility is a diagnosis that up to 25% of couples attempting to have a baby will receive. In around four to eight percent of these cases, the underlying cause of infertility will be discovered to be a hereditary disorder known as celiac disease.
